Eryigit is a new generation, reciprocating hospital bed with improved ergonomics and maneuverability. Its main body is made of aluminum profiles, while ABS plastic and glass are used for fixing and accessories. This unique design lowers production costs by utilizing identical parts, making it a cost-effective solution for hospitals.
One of the standout features of the Eryigit bed is its ability to easily convert into nine different positions. The variable height can be adjusted to accommodate wheelchair transfers, making it accessible for individuals with physical limitations. The streamlined base design prevents height loss resulting from wheels, ensuring stability and ease of use.
In order to address patient comfort, the Eryigit bed incorporates translucent glass sidewalls instead of traditional bed rails. This design choice helps to mitigate the claustrophobic feeling often associated with hospital beds, providing a more open and welcoming environment for patients.
The Eryigit hospital bed was developed in December 2014 in Ankara, Turkey. Extensive research was conducted to understand the limitations of existing hospital beds and to identify areas for improvement. The Designnobis team worked closely with a manufacturer to gather insights from users and address their specific needs.
Despite the creative and technical challenges, the Eryigit bed successfully achieved compliance with new international standards. Its modern design and high-quality construction make it a standout in the healthcare industry.
The Eryigit hospital bed has been recognized for its excellence in design. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Medical Devices and Medical Equipment Design category in 2015. This prestigious award acknowledges the bed's outstanding creativity, resourcefulness, and contribution to improving the quality of life for patients.
With its innovative features and commitment to improving patient comfort and accessibility, the Eryigit hospital bed is set to revolutionize the healthcare industry. Its unique design and cost-effective production make it a game-changer for hospitals worldwide.
